I guess we should be thankful that we are not Nashville fans. I looked at the Preds website today and they are having 60 games on TV. They signed a new radio contract and it doesn't start broadcasting any games until Monday. The Preds had a link to a blog for tonight's game for those not going, not even an online stream like the last Caps preseason game and tonight's game is on Am 1500.Cathy Wnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6701918113042958232.post-63308472407802969682010-08-15T16:22:20.969-04:002010-08-15T16:22:20.969-04:00Paul:

I can't help but to think if we had to play harder to win regular season games, and make the playoffs, we would be more prepared for taking the next step come playoff time. I am not totally convinced that is true--I think we play plenty hard in the regular season--but we coasted big time in our division last year and maybe that hurt us in preparing for the playoffs.

Paul R.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6701918113042958232.post-25442711567576872042010-07-31T21:57:59.773-04:002010-07-31T21:57:59.773-04:00I was actually hoping that he would get some crazy...I was actually hoping that he would get some crazy amount in arbitration that would force the Caps to walk away. Flash has been with the Caps for awhile and it is always something. Yes, he had 20 goals, but he just faded in the latter part of the season and was a none factor in the playoffs. I too am so hoping that he is NOT the second line center as I don't want a season of Semin trying to avoid passing to Flash. To me it seems as if Flash benefited from being on the second line but Semin suffered from it. I am just really tired of the favoritism that BB shows to Flash and hope he is gone before the season starts. But if he is here, then no excuses this season.Cathy Wnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6701918113042958232.post-2971363081005640402010-07-30T17:43:57.495-04:002010-07-30T17:43:57.495-04:00I understand and that could have happened indee - ...I understand and that could have happened indee - actually Peerless did a great blog post on the reasons and comparables, I commented there so I'll be brief - the issue isn't whether Flash is worth $2.6M anywhere in the NHL, the issue to me is his fit right now with the Capitals and what the role I see him ending up playing is worth as a percentage of Salary Cap.
